Press Release Summary: A new study by The Workforce Alliance (TWA) and Skills2Compete revealed that over one million new jobs will be created for mid-level professionals in Illinois by 2014. The study also revealed that middle-skill job openings would account for almost 50% of all openings between 2004 and 2014. EmploymentCrossing has helped thousands of mid-level professionals find more and more opportunities in their niches.
Press Release Body: ''Mid-level jobs generally require more than a high school diploma and less than a college degree,'' says A. Harrison Barnes, CEO of EmploymentCrossing.
''A large number of mid-level professionals are employed in the manufacturing industry. Other industries that require mid-level skills are healthcare, transportation, managerial, HR, retail, blue-collar, nursing, and trucking. Most of these industries offer good salaries to mid-level professionals,'' adds Barnes.
''EmploymentCrossing aims to add every mid-level job opening it can find on the Internet to its site. Our main source of jobs has always been employer websites which give access to the hidden job market,'' adds Barnes.
Furthermore, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 45% of US jobs will fall under the category of middle-skill occupations by 2014. In comparison, about 33% of jobs will require high skill levels, while 22% will be low-skilled jobs.
According to the TWA report, the average salary for manufacturing professionals was $50,000 in 2005 and is projected to increase by about 4% every year through 2010. ''We have also noticed a slight bump in the salaries offered by employers for manufacturing professionals,'' adds Barnes. ManufacturingCrossing, the top-notch manufacturing job board, offers over 10,000 manufacturing jobs. The most searched job titles from ManufacturingCrossing have been manufacturing sales jobs, manufacturing engineer jobs, manufacturing manager jobs, production manager jobs, and entry-level manufacturing jobs.
The healthcare industry also offers good packages for medium-skilled professionals. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for healthcare professionals is about $30,000. The bureau also reports that the healthcare industry will generate 3 million new wage and salary jobs between 2006 and 2016, more than any other industry. HealthcareCrossing now offers a staggering 150,000-plus healthcare jobs, after having added about 17,000 new jobs in the last week. The most searched job titles on HealthcareCrossing have been healthcare sales jobs, healthcare manager jobs, healthcare admin jobs, healthcare nursing jobs, and healthcare assistant jobs, among others.
